Selvedge Apothecary

Herbs from the Edgelands

Every year I spend much of the green season cultivating medicinal herbs in my garden, foraging for plants and mushrooms in the wild, and making folk remedies with them for myself, my friends, and my family - and now for the broader public as well. I have been studying herbal medicine independently since 2017, including taking workshops and courses with a variety of other herbalists - CommonWealth Holistic Herbalism, Railyard Apothecary, Solidarity Apothecary, and Reciprocal Roots, to name a few. I strive to share my knowledge and preparations as a mutual aid offering whenever possible.

All of the herbs I share I either forage respectfully from my local area or grow in my garden.

Below you will find a list of preparations that are available, instructions on how to order, and an explanation of the sliding-scale payment system. If you are uncertain which of these herbs, if any, may be helpful for you, send me an email and we can discuss it further. Please also read the disclaimer at the bottom of this page.

Thank you + be well!

Pay-what-you-can

Herbal medicine belongs to all people and should be accessible to all. With this in mind, I’m using a sliding-scale/pay-what-you-can payment structure to help expand access to plant medicine to more folks, and to invite those with more resources to support those with less.

Please realistically consider your resources and privileges when choosing a sliding scale level. The low end of the scale is enough to cover materials and shipping. The high end of the scale is in the neighborhood of where most other herbalists price their products.

All of my preparations are available for free to those who are unhoused, who are on the frontlines of protecting the earth from extractive industry, who are active organizers in their communities, and BIPOC.
