This is a one-of-a-kind patchwork textile artwork made with reclaimed cotton fabric and sewn with cotton thread. Its center features a cyanotype print of a stinging nettle, and the surrounding pieces were botanically dyed with buckthorn berry and a variety of dye flowers. It is backed with cotton muslin and there is a 3/4" channel at the top to allow a dowel or twig to hold it up, if you so desire. It measures about 23" x 14.5".

The naturally dyed sections of this piece were treated with an alum mordant to promote colorfastness (permanence), but they may fade or shift tone over time. The best way to preserve the colors of this piece is to hang it somewhere it will get little to no direct sunlight. If you must wash it, use only cold water and gentle pH neutral soap.
